How to prepare your home for furniture assembly
Clear the space, check the boxes and plan the access: a few simple steps so the assembly goes quickly and without surprises.
Clear the space. Make room where the furniture will stand and where it will be assembled. A free area of about two metres around the piece lets our fitters work quickly and safely.
Check the delivery. Before the appointment, make sure all packages have arrived and that none are visibly damaged. Missing boxes are the most common reason for an assembly being delayed.
Plan the access. Tell us about the floor, the lift and any narrow stairs or doors. For large wardrobes and kitchens this helps us bring the right tools and the right number of people.
Think about the walls. High furniture must be fixed to the wall. Let us know what the walls are made of (concrete, brick, plasterboard) so we can bring suitable fixings.
Leave the packaging to us. On request we take the cardboard and packaging with us after the assembly, so you can enjoy your new furniture straight away.
