Tips

The right time, the right product and the right technique: our professionals share how to keep your windows spotless between two cleanings.

Choose the right moment. Avoid cleaning windows in direct sunlight: the water dries too fast and leaves streaks. An overcast day, or the shaded side of the house, gives you much better results.

Use as little product as possible. A few drops of washing-up liquid in lukewarm water are enough for most windows. Too much detergent leaves a film that attracts dust again.

Work with a squeegee. Wet the glass with a microfibre applicator, then pull the water off with a squeegee in overlapping strokes from top to bottom. Wipe the blade after each stroke.

Finish the edges. Dry the corners and the frame with a lint-free cloth so no drops run back onto the glass. Clean the frames and sills first, otherwise dirt ends up on the clean panes.

Keep a rhythm. Windows cleaned regularly are faster to clean and stay bright longer. And for large surfaces, glass roofs or hard-to-reach windows, our team is happy to help.
